After four seasons with the Sundance and Tribeca film festivals, Samantha moved to D.C. to help kickstart the inaugural Washington West in 2011 as the Director of Operations. Inspired by her experience and the guiding ideal of the festival — story can change the world — she pursued a masters and doctorate to explore the power of storytelling and imagination in public diplomacy, intercultural communications, and social impact. She also founded and leads the World Lens Foundation and works with PeaceTech Lab at the U.S. Institute of Peace.

Samantha is thrilled to be back with Washington West as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall. In addition to films of all kinds, she loves Lyle Lovett, New Orleans, all things NBA, and hanging out around campfires with family and friends!
