The Lion King 2019

As part of Arts in the Park at Reston Town Center, in partnership with the Reston Town Center Association and Disney, we will host a free outdoor, family-friendly screening of 2019’s photorealistic version of The Lion King. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the original animated version! Join us for an exciting evening as we celebrate the anniversary and revisit the film before Mufasa: The Lion King roars into theaters this holiday season!

 

The Lion King:

After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

Footloose: Virtual Q&A and screening in celebration of the 40th Anniversary

Join us in celebrating FOOTLOOSE’s 40th Anniversary!

Before the screening, we have partnered with Kevin Bacon’s charity SixDegrees.org for a kit-building event! Stop by LOOK Dine-In Cinemas in Reston Town Center before the screening for a day of building kits of comfort items and necessities for children in the Virginia foster care system. We will be building from 1 to 3 PM and you can sign up to volunteer here, and children are also welcome!

RTCA Presents: The Nightmare Before Christmas

Join RTCA and the Washington West Film Festival to kick off this “spooky season” with a showing of the Tim Burton classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas, which will coincide with Disney’s release of a new 4k blu-ray of the blockbuster. Special guests and other fun aspects are rumored. Bring your blanket and popcorn and be ready to join in the fun of our second annual film in the park.

Escaping Ohio | Film Screening and Panel

A coming-of-age romcom following Sam and JJ, two 18-yr-olds facing adulthood. When it becomes clear Sam intends to leave their small town for new adventures in California, JJ dares her to let him prove why Ohio is worth sticking around for.

Opening Night Film: Anna

Join us on opening night for a private pre-release screening of Anna and post screening panel with producer Mark Maxey and guests.

ANNA | A Russian journalist’s brave crusade, fighting for an independent voice in Putin’s Russia, puts her life in jeopardy. Based on the true story of Anna Politkovskaya.
