Panel: No Filmmaker is an Island
The process of independent filmmaking is collaborative, pairing filmmaker and film crew with non-filmmakers to tell their stories, shine a light on a particular subject or impact an intended audience. A filmmaker is not an auteur working in isolation to communicate their individual vision. We will explore the process, workflow and best practices for independent filmmakers, and the increasing diversity of people writing, directing and producing films.
Panelists include Melissa Houghton (Executive Director, Women in Film and Video) and independent filmmakers Malkia Lydia and Erica Ginsberg.
